Hand colored pigment print on Hahnemühle watercolor paper with wax encaustic.
This is a hand colored archival pigment created with Epson ultrachrome pigments. The paper used is a watercolor paper by renowned paper maker Hahnemühle. The artist added acrylic color washes to create a one of a kind unique object. The print is mounted on MDF board and is coated in the artist’s own recipe of beeswax/dammar/carnauba wax encaustic. This protect the image, gives depth to the shadows and saturation to the color. This also eliminates the need for glass.
The frame is custom and handmade by the artist which is common with Hochbaum’s work.
