From the artist:
This is a painting of a female Yellow-rumped Warbler I was watching flit around in a beautiful little thicket. It was a quiet and mild day in mid-October, which is just about my favorite time of year and there was a dreamy quality to the insects in the warm air and the gentle sunshine. I was watching this bird as she flew back and forth catching bugs, stopping to eat a berry here and there. These Warblers are numerous in the Autumn where I live and they're so enjoyable to watch and listen to! I was very pleased to see a few beautiful poses such as this, where I could get a good look at her before she took off after another unsuspecting insect.
