Linda Adair has always been interested in and excited by fine art, especially figurative work in the Neoclassical and Romanticism eras. Due to extensive travelling she was able to see firsthand many of the greats and began studying art at an early age. Her enthusiasm and education in arts continued as she later studied Painting and Illustration at the Illustration Academy. Her passion for Realism and Fantastical Realism in oil painting led her to create works of art that transcend the commonplace to enter the realm of the fantastical and otherworldly. She develops haunting images that evoke moods and ideas inspired by real life, and which create a remarkably compelling narrative. Her characters often have elements of mystery and are quiet and intimate in setting. She finds inspiration in literature and nature and it shows in her work.
As well as having produced work for private commissions, her personal-gallery work has found homes in many private collections. She currently lives with her husband and three children in Sydney, Australia.
