For Nicole Adkisson, born and raised in Tulsa, OK creating art has been a lifelong interest. After discovering a passion for representational art Nicole began an apprenticeship at The Ani Art Academy Waichulis. Through her work, she strives to convey emotions and communicate beauty as well as a sense of time and place for the viewer.

Nicole has always had a passion for drawing and painting. Drawn towards realism, she studied under Leslie Lienau and in 2016 was introduced to the work of Anthony Waichulis and began studying under him, completing the “Language of Drawing” program in 2018 as a full-time apprentice. She continues to work realistically, favoring equine subjects, landscapes, portraiture, and still life in nature. Nicole has been a part of several successful exhibitions and publications.
