Katharina was raised in Durham, North Carolina, and currently resides in
Richmond, Virginia. After a fulfilling career in healthcare, she found herself drawn
to the world of art, ultimately deciding to pursue further education in creative
expression. What began as a hobby soon blossomed into a deep passion, with
a particular focus on watercolor painting, though she occasionally works in other
mediums as well.

Katharina’s artistic journey is deeply influenced by her love of detail and
precision, which has led her to specialize in hyper realistic painting. Her work
often explores the beauty of everyday objects and natural subjects, allowing her
to capture their intricate details with a striking sense of realism.

Katharina has exhibited her work in The Virginia Watercolor Society’s annual
juried exhibition and is a proud member of the James River Art League. Through
her art, she continues to explore the connection between technique, emotion,
and the world around us, while striving to evoke a sense of nostalgia and
introspection in her viewers.
