About halfway through the completion of this piece, I had the sense that these little pears looked like they were waiting on something. As the story materialized in my head, I began to re-imagine them as three patrons waiting for a restaurant table. I’ll let you decide who waited up front, and who waited at the bar. Still life painting is funny that way…there’s almost always a story behind the cast of characters.
