Pressing Your Luck is a piece that is simply built around the phrase, “to press your luck.” A literal interpretation of the phrase injects the work with an unexpected interaction between objects . It is also an exercise in capturing the reflective surfaces of the antique iron and the fortune cookie wrappers, as well as the contrast and interplay between those objects.
