"This is a hyper realistic bronze of an elephant named Tim who lives in the Amboseli Game Reserve in Kenya. He is one of the last living 'Big Tuskers'. His tusks are 9 and 7 feet long. I chose to immortalize Tim in bronze as a tribute to him as he has had a larger than life existence with several poaching attempts on his life and a few other near death experiences. In one instance he became bogged down in mud and would have died if it were not for the quick intervention of local park rangers and veterinarians. In another case he was darted to remove a poachers spear that was lodged in his ear flap. Sadly, Tim passed away of natural causes in the early part of 2020."
