"I have spent much of my life involved with wildlife and as a result I love to depict various animals in bronze. I try to capture the essence of the animal, often in a very typical pose that is instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with that particular animal. Some animals lend themselves to a very rough look while others demand an extremely detailed and realistic approach. In my opinion rhinos' and elephants seem to look best when sculpted realistically because of the texture of the skin. This is a Black Rhino whirling around to face a possible danger. Ears are forward to capture every sound and his head is raised in preparation to charge."
